Gumpert is a German-based company building supercars. The first model produced is the Apollo. Founder and owner of Gumpert Sportwagenmanufaktur GmbH is Roland Gumpert, former head of Audi Sport. Audi scored 2 drivers and 2 constructors World Rally Championship titles during his time there. The company is based at Altenburg, Thuringia.

Gumpert Apollo

The Apollo is the first and currently the only vehicle produced by Gumpert Sportwagenmanufaktur GmbH. Made more like a race car than a street car the Apollo features a tubular steel frame and a carbon fiber monocoque. The vehicle is powered by a fully rebuilt Audi twin-turbo 4.2-liter V8; an engine which in stock form can be found in the original RS6. Thanks to modified KKK turbocharger the Apollo makes 650 hp in stock form and can be optioned out to 800 hp with the sport package. The Gumpert Apollo is capable of 0-62mph in 3 seconds (2.9 seconds for the sport model) and a top speed of 360km/h. The Gumpert Apollo base model is estimated to cost €198 000 and the Apollo Sport, €299,500.
