Audi Allroad Quattro Wallpapers and Pictures

The Audi Allroad Quattro is a sports utility vehicle station wagon crossover vehicle that was produced by Audi from the 2000-2005 model years. The Allroad was given a contemporary air suspension system, large wheels, all terrain tires, and flared bumpers, but the vehicle was based on the same platform as the A6 Avant, which is a well-known Audi station wagon.

Audi made the Allroad Quattro available with a 2.7-liter twin turbo V6 engine as well as a 2.5-liter TDI diesel engine, with just a couple small upgrades in 2003 and 2004. The Allroad was engineered so that it would ride comfortably in addition to dealing with any road conditions that may cross its path. The Allroad Quattro has an adjustable air suspension system that can lift the car a bit higher to provide more ground clearance with just the touch of the button.

Since the first model rolled off the assembly lines and out onto the streets the Allroad has been given positive feedback from just about everywhere except the American market. Its failure in the American market was a setback for Audi because it was developed specifically for that market but most of the sales came from European market. Audi blames the price and the Allroad's inability to really fit into any market segment for the slow sales in the United States.

When Audi stopped producing the Allroad it replaced it with the Audi Q7 and the Q5, which are smaller car based SUV type vehicles. Audi plans to produce another Allroad Quattro sometime after 2007 that will be based on the A6 Avant, and this model is predicted to do better in the United States than the first Allroad did.
